Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri: I had already signed at Real Madrid
Massimiliano Allegri, coach of Juventus Turin, has reported that he had already agreed with Real Madrid before the season. “I had already signed with you last summer,” he told GQ.
Allegri, however, decided when Juve approached him again and convinced from a return to Turin. “Then I called the President and told him that I do not come because I have suded myself for Juventus,” the coach told a phone call with Real-Boss Florentino Perez. “He thanked me,” he realized that the Madrilen were not too acidic about Allegri’s change.
During his first term in Turin, which lasted five years, Allegri took five titles with the Bianconeri. After the attempts with Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo had failed as Juve coach, he returned in the summer of 2021. “I could have done that earlier, but I did not do it for personal reasons,” Allegri said.
