System Shock The remake has a publisher
Prime Matt from Munich takes over the marketing of the System Shock new edition, which moves to 2022.
In summer, developer Night dive Studios published an expanded demo version of the Remakes of System Shock and announced that it will appear this year. Now we have already in mid-December and a close release is not in sight. But since yesterday we also know why: The title was moved to 2022. However, the message comes into the delay in the composite with a very good news, because Night dive Studios has found a publisher.
Prime Matter, a label of Koch Media founded this year, will launch System Shock next year for the PC, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on the market. Own versions for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S are still not announced, but probably more likely than before, where Night dive Studios has stemmed production and financed by Kickstarter campaign.
The original system Shock appeared in 1994 and was developed by Looking Glass, where, among other things, developer legend Warren Spector has worked. At that time it was a true innovation with his mix of shooter and role-playing elements, which is only one of the reasons why System Shock is considered a classic today. The remake of Nightlife Studios picks up the basic formula and combines them with modern graphics, improved control, a completely revised interface and various new content.
The space station in which you move in the game and over which a bad I called Shod an has the control of the new edition is larger, so offers various new areas with other traps, puzzles and secrets. If you want to give yourself a first imprint, you can do this on the basis of the free demo. How long exactly you have to wait for the finished game, is unclear. Night dive Studios and Prime Matter did not reveal when exactly the next year System Shock will appear.
