Pok mon UNITE will organize its first official tournament
The new Pokémon Moba enters the wider competitive scene. Later this month, the first official Pokémon Unite tournament will take place. Unfortunately, only Japanese players can participate. However, if we have Japanese readers, you can participate in the first Pokémon Unite tournament!
This tournament will be online and will see a maximum of 256 teams compete. The registration period started and will continue until September 13th. If more than 256 teams apply, competing teams will be determined by lot.
Each team can be composed of 5 to 7 members and will play standard matches. Each round will be decided by a match until four teams left. At this point (if nothing is lost in translation), the four best teams will have to win two games in the semifinals and final.
There is no price mentioned in the tournament rules, but who needs material objects when we are the best in the world? Once again, it’s only for players in Japan, but I hope that if the tournament is a success, there will be more in other parts of the world.
Pokémon Unite came out on Nintendo Switch and will be on mobile later this month, but the tournament will force the competitors to play on a switch, since the mobile application comes out after the tournament.
Pokémon Unite is available now on Nintendo Switch and will be on mobile devices on September 22nd.
