The Pokemon Gen 9 region could be in Italy based on a BDSP screenshot

The Pokemon Gen 9 area can be based in Italy, or suggests a recently published screenshot of Brilliant Diamond Pokemon and Shining Pearl. The fans of the franchise were plunged into a frenzy when a fan pointed out that a photo of Venice, Italy, had been published on social networks.

_BDSP alludes to something? The fan wrote to the picture of Venice and a painting of the starry night of Van Gogh on the Rhone. _Who? We know they like to refer to future generations with paintings in the game. Van Gogh’s painting may indicate that Pokemon Gen 9 could be based in France – the work of art represents Arles, France – but fans think it’s highly unlikely since the Pokemon community has a Pokemon region based in France.

It should be noted that all the Pokémon regions of the franchise, so far have always had equivalents in the real world. That said, it goes without saying that Italy will most likely be presented at some point, by disposal, at the very least.

Game Freak is well known to provide his fans clues about the future of the Pokemon franchise. However, the fans that have been waiting for Pokemon Gen 9 may be a little too much about it simply because Game Freak is not the main studio behind Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Pokemon. The work on BDSP has been entrusted to ILCA, which marks the first time a Pokemon game is not developed by Game Freak.

Currently, Game Freak has its focused on the development of Pokemon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch, because the game apparently adopts an open world gameplay, a bit like Breath of the Wild. With the busy Arceus team, whose launch is scheduled next year, the discussions on Pokemon Gen 9 are probably the last thing they think right now.
